It was just about 9 years ago, on July 11, 2009 that Jodi and I had the honor of photographing our friends (Pat and Bob) daughter Kari’s wedding. It was a beautiful July day, typically warm (that’s nice for HOT), with plenty of sun and blue skies.
The International Friendship Gardens in Michigan City, served as the wedding ceremony backdrop followed by a first class reception at Blue Chip Casino & Hotel, also in Michigan City, IN. Knowing the family and friends really made this wedding special for us as you feel so part of it just knowing many who attended. Kari looked stunning and Craig even cleaned up nice too!
The day flowed wonderfully without a hitch. Bob and Pat even donated two swans to the garden in Kari and Craig’s name/memory of the wonderful wedding. They released the swans during their wedding rehearsal.
Now, 9 years later, we are not sure what happened to the swans, but Kari and Craig have been rather busy expanding their family by having three beautiful girls. Kaiden 6, Cali 5, and Cassidy 4.
Just look at this wonderful and great looking family. It was so much fun capturing family photos for them at Rogers-Lakewood Park in Valparaiso and at our own studio also in Valparaiso.
Their girls just happen to pick up on the great fun-filled personalities of their mommy and daddy. Both Kari and Craig have big personalities, are not shy, and add humor to almost all that they do. These little girls have “attitude” too! They were so well behaved the day was fun – and these girls didn’t tire at all!
Thank you all for a wonderful day allowing us to capture a wide variety of fun images to last them a lifetime. Too bad about those swans, but these girls have been a wonderful addition to Kari and Craig’s life story. Congratulations guys… -Rick Bella, for Bella Photography
