Photographing for Magazines

We have been honored many times by being selected to provide images for a variety of magazines. Some large and popular, many trade related, and some specialized magazines. The photoshoots are usually fun and although many test our photography skills, we always do whatever is needed to capture the images for our clients.

The images attached here are from The Successful Contractor – The Magazine for Residential Home Service Contractors. The story celebrates the Valparaiso based, Amps & Volts Electric, owned by Brenda and Kurt Krause. Their business location just happens to be two blocks away from our own photography studio in Valparaiso, Indiana.

It was a fun shoot as the magazine wanted to celebrate the Million-Dollar Mark for their business and the Krause’s shared how they hit this milestone goal. We got to capture groups images with all their employees, different departments, and in different areas of their re-purposed historic two-story house that they converted into office space for their business.

As we always try to do, we over-deliver on each job we shoot providing a nice variety of imagery, so the editors have plenty to choose from to tell their stories. This shoot was no different and we were shocked and honored to see so many of our images used in the feature article. We also felt good as they were a local company and like many businesses fought through the terrible sales COVID year!

It was also great to meet fellow business owners and by the time we finished the shoot on that Saturday we left thinking that we made a bunch of new friends. Congrats to Brenda and Kurt for achieving this tremendous business milestone! -Rick Bella for Bella Photography
