What a world! Seems like technology is advancing so quickly that it is hard to keep up with what is new and how to use it all. I came across this video of a DJI drone that took viewers on a tour of the Porsche Museum. The drone was the DJI FPV (First Person View) drone named Avata. In the world of drones, traditionally pilots fly Radio Controlled aircraft while looking at them called “line of sight” (LOS) flying. In FPV drones, pilots can fly unmanned aerial vehicles by streaming real-time video from the camera on the drone to goggles worn by the pilot. The video below was shot using the FPV system that allows for some amazing flying versus LOS drone flying. The maneuvers in the video would not be possible using a line-of-sight drone. By FAA rules, an FPV pilot must still have an observer with them who watches the drone and can alert the pilot of obstacles that would not be visible in the headset goggle view.

Our video service doesn’t include flying through museums, but we are happy to assist with drone capture for projects like Real Estate Photography and Video, construction site or commercial projects, and even assisting law enforcement with finding a missing person. We can also assist with marketing imagery to promote a business. Anything that can be photographed from the air can be done with our fleet of ‘line-of-site’ DJI drones. We are FAA Certified Pilots with insurance. Important aspects in this fairly new medium. Got an idea, reach out and we can assist with designing marketing that works for you. How about some cool wedding footage? We can do that too!
