We always hear from our clients that they were so happy that they did maternity photographs after they are taken. Creating the memory of motherhood is special. Having imagery of your pregnancy journey that you can share with your future child is not only precious but also priceless too.
We were honored to photograph the beginning of Renee’s journey recently capturing a wide variety of images for her to cherish for years to come. We always take our time during a maternity photoshoot since most mothers, or mothers-to-be are between 7 to 8 months pregnant at the time of the shoot. I mean, we want to see the ‘bump’! Moving around and changing into different clothing outfits can be a challenge but well worth the effort. Just look at some of the images here of Renee. She selected Marquette Park in Gary, Indiana for her location as she wanted some beach photos. We began at the bathhouse also called the Bathing Beach Aquatorium. Then we moved to the beach for photos on the sand and in the water. Finally, we finished our shoot at the Pavilion. Photos attached show these various locations all offering a nice variety of imagery.

Renee shared with us why this location was special to her…
“The baby shoot was very important to me. I was raised around the Miller Beach area. I spent so much time here as a kid from playing on the beach and as an adult from walking to jogging. This photoshoot for me captured so many memories without saying a word. I wanted to share one of the fondest and warmest places for me with my unborn baby as I transition into a new role as “mom”.
Bella Studios made this beautiful memory so easy for me! Both Rick and his wife Jodi were welcoming and created a relaxed and stress-free environment. They had creative ideas and listened to my suggestions with humility and kindness. I love my pictures!

The photography will show what you have gone through in your motherhood journey and allow you to remember and show how you changed so much to have a baby. Looking back, you, your family, and your child will be able to see the beauty and amazing journey you took. Your journey is very personal.
You can express yourself. We do sessions in our studio, outside, inside buildings, and even at your own home. The location(s) and outfits you choose to wear allow you to share how you were feeling during this special time in your life. Your child will know that they were loved well before even being born.
It’s a special time to bond with your partner or others. If you are taking the journey on your own, you can get connected with yourself. Either way, we’ll capture lasting memories and document your journey with anyone you’d like to be part of it. A partner, other family members, supporters, etc. All are welcome and sharing such an amazing time is always precious.
You can make it fun and dress up. Many of our moms will get their hair and makeup done for their shoot. This might be something that was not being done as much during pregnancy. So why not dress up, wrap up, and look your best for these photos that will last a lifetime? You can feel fabulous and then go out after your shoot to celebrate.
