Rain Couldn’t Stop the Support for THREE20 Recovery

A rainy Saturday may have changed the plans, but it certainly didn’t dampen the support for THREE20 Recovery in Chesterton.

The organization’s annual bicycle, run and walk event moved indoors this year, bringing supporters together at the THREE20 Recovery Center. And in true THREE20 spirit, they made the best of it! Participants still managed to get in some miles on an exercise bike and treadmill while enjoying a morning filled with food, music and fellowship.

This marked our fifth year photographing this wonderful event, and it remains one we always look forward to. The “HEROS” theme once again brought out enthusiastic participants dressed as their favorite heroes, adding plenty of personality and color to this family-friendly celebration of fun and fellowship.

Guests enjoyed brunch, made by staff and alumni, while Chad Clifford of The Crawpuppies provided live music throughout the two-hour event. Despite Mother Nature’s change of plans, the room was filled with energy, laughter and, most importantly, tremendous support for THREE20 Recovery and its mission.

THREE20 takes a holistic approach to recovery, offering programs designed to support the mind, body and spirit. From recovery coaching and BrainPaint sessions to transportation assistance, community training, medication support and recovery specialists, the organization provides a welcoming place for people seeking healthier lives and lasting recovery.

Jodi and I always enjoy being part of this event. This year may have looked a little different thanks due to the weather – which certainly hasn’t been very cooperative around Northwest Indiana lately – but the heart of the event remained exactly the same.

Great people. A great cause. And a community showing up for one another.

We were honored once again to capture it through our cameras.
