Senior Photos with Fries! What?
Jodi and I were honored to capture Aidan’s senior photos on Saturday, July 29, 2023. We had photographed his sister Abigail’s senior photos a couple of years ago. When Aidan’s dad, Steve, reached out we were excited to be asked to photograph Aidan’s pics.
We could tell that Steve first went through our website to contact us because he mentioned seeing Abigail’s photos (twice he pointed out) on our Senior Photo page. He also asked about pricing and said that he may even drop off a couple of Five Guys gift cards for us! That gave it away that he was on our ‘contact us’ page on the website since we mention that you can really get our attention by sending us a couple of those cards via mail.

Jodi and I were early adopters of Five Guys when they first came to Schererville. It is a decent burger made the same each time and they over-serve the fries for sure. You should see Jodi smile when I walk back to the table with the grease soaked, well not soaked, more like a stained, bag from the extra fries they toss right inside the plain brown paper bag loose. Those fries are what we call, bonus fries!
We got Aidan’s shoot scheduled and didn’t think much more about it until the day that Aidan and his dad walked into our studio. With a little smirk on his face, Steve said “Here you go, a Five Guys gift card, as promised.” It was so cool, and it really broke the ice so we could all just relax and enjoy our photography experience with Aidan.
And enjoy it we did… with studio shots, photos around our 110-year-old building, around the building, on the Valpo High School football field, and finally finishing up at Valpo’s Rogers-Lakewood Park. Aidan did an amazing job and brought different clothing changes and props like his football and jersey, his clarinet, and even his championship football ring from the 2022 season. His props reflected his interests and time in high school. We highly recommend using them.
And with our gift card in hand, Jodi and I enjoyed a couple of Five Guys burgers and French fries, compliments of Steve and his family. It was the finishing touch on a wonderful day of doing what we love! Just check out some of Aidan’s pics here. Guess we’ll need to add Aidan to our website too!
